The will of Elizabeth Muckleston, late of Shrewsbury in the county of Salop, widow, who died 28

June1873, at Shrewsbury, was proved, at Shrewsbury, by Mary Louisa Muckleston of Shrewsbury,

spinster, the daughter and sole executrix.

Elizabeth was 87 years old when she died.

The Will of Elizabeth Muckleston late of Shrewsbury in the county of Salop Widow who died 28th June 1873 at Shrewsbury was proved at Shrewsbury by Mary Louisa Muckleston of Shrewsbury Spinster the daughter the sole Executrix

Transcript of the Will:-

I Elizabeth Muckleston of Shrewsbury in the County of Salop Widow hereby revoke all Wills Codicils and other testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me and declare this to be my last Will and Testament I give devise and bequeath all and singular the real and personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever of in or to which I or any person or persons in trust for me am is are or shall be seized possessed entitled or interested at the time of my decease including as well real and personal estate over which I have or shall have a general power of appointment unto and to the use of my daughter Mary Louisa Muckleston her heirs Executors administrators and assigns absolutely according to the nature and quality thereof respectively to and for her and their own benefit and disposal and I constitute and appoint my said daughter Mary Louisa Muckleston sole executrix of this my Will In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this thirteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty five

Signed and acknowledged by the above named Elizabeth Muckleston as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto William Lyon Ford Salop Jno S Newton Solr Birmingham

Proved at Shrewsbury the eleventh day of December 1873 by the oath of Mary Louisa Muckleston Spinster the daughter the sole Executrix to whom administration was granted. The Testatrix Elizabeth Muckleston was late of Shrewsbury in the county of Salop Widow and died on the 28th day of June 1873 at Shrewsbury aforesaid Under £100 J S Newton Solr Birmingham

Transcription of the Will:-

I Mary Louisa Muckleston of Rose Cottage Wenlock Road Shrewsbury in the county of Salop Spinster hereby revoke all wills codicils and testamentary instruments heretofore made by me and declare this to be my last will I bequeath the following pecuniary legacies free of duty namely to my nephew Charles Edward Muckleston two hundred pounds and to Henry Shakespeare Salt (the only child of Colonel Thomas Henry Salt ) and to Reginald Nowell Salt of Shrewsbury Solicitor fifty pounds each I bequeath to my nephew Frederick Corbett Lyon all my books and pictures and to my niece Mary Julia Lyon all my jewellery and personal ornaments to whom also I bequeath my shares in Lloyds banking company limited (purchased with the one thousand pounds left to me by the Reverend Rowland Muckleston ) or the investments or money by which the same shall be represented at the time of my decease I bequeath to Minnie Saviour of 3 Elm Street Greenfields Shrewsbury spinster the proceeds of my policy for fifteen pounds twelve shillings in the Royal London Friendly Society I give devise and bequeath all the residue of my real and personal estate effects (subject to the payment of my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and the legacies given by this will or any codicil hereto and the duty on any legacies given free of duty) as to two thirds thereof to the said Frederick Corbett Lyon absolutely and as to the remaining one third thereof to the said Mary Julia Lyon absolutely and I appoint the said Frederick Corbett Lyon sole executor of this my will In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this sixteenth day of June one thousand nine hundred and six - MARY LOUISA MUCKLESTON - signed by the said Mary Louisa Muckleston the testatrix in our presence and by us in her presence S G Lello Clerk to Messrs Salt and Sons Solicitors 10 Belmont Shrewsbury G H Jones Clerk to Messrs Salt and Sons
