Birth surname Muckleston but was married as Mackleston.

At the time of marriage her husband was a private in the Royal Field Artillery, but a bricklayer by trade.

He was based at Wecton Camp, Wecton. They were married in the United Methodist Church, Adelaide

Street, Blackpool. Witnesses to the wedding were her brother William N. Mackleston and Annie Ritter (certificate is available). Her son, N. Clarke, registered William N. Mackleston's death in 1961.

IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE

The District Probate Registry at Chester

BE IT KNOWN that William Mackleston of 75 Watlands View Porthill Newcastle-under-Lyme Staffordshire

died on the 8th day of September 1961 at the City General Hospital Stoke on trent

intestate

AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN that at the date hereunder written Letters of Administration of all the Estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said intestate were granted by the high court of Justice at the District Probate Registry thereof at Chester to Mary Christina Mackleston of 75 Watlands View aforesaid the lawful widow and relict and the only person now entitled to the estate of the said intestate

And it is hereby certified that an Inland Revenue affidavit has been delivered wherein it is shown that the gross value of the said estate in Great Britain (exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as trustee and not beneficially) amounts to £2005:3:8

and that the net value of the estate amounts to £1940:6:2

This is the last Will and testament of me Mary Christina Mackleston of 78 Meadow Lane Lower Milehouse Newcastle u Lyme in the county of Stafford

1. I hereby revoke all former Wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me

2. I appoint my daughter Maureen Mackleston of 11 Hawthorne Road Crackley Chesterton Newcastle u Lyme aforesaid and my grand daughter Carol Ann Mackleston of 17 Oldcastle Avenue Newcastle under Lyme aforesaid to be the executors and Trustees of this my Will

3. I devise and bequeath the whole of my estate both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever (including any property over which I may have a general power of appointment or disposition by Will) unto my Trustees upon trust to sell call in and convert the same into money with power in their absolute discretion to postpone such sale calling in and conversion and after payment thereout of all my just debts and testamentary expenses and all capital transfer tax or any other duty imposed by law to stand possessed of the proceeds of such sale calling in and conversion and of the nett rents and profits thereof until such sale (hereinafter called my residuary estate) upon trust to divide such residuary estate among such of my daughter Maureen Mackleston of 11 Hawthorne Road Crackley Chesterton Newcastle u Lyme aforesaid and my son William Mackleston of 17 Oldcastle Avenue Bradwell Newcastle u Lyme aforesaid as shall survive me and if more than one in equal shares per capita

4. It is my wish that the firm of James A Peasegood and Company (Solicitors) of 11 Ironmarket Newcastle u Lyme in the county of Stafford shall be employed as Solicitors in connection with my estate
