Generation No. 1

1.EDWARD1 MUCKLESTON died 14 Apr 1803 in St Margarets, Streatley, Bedfordshire..He married MARY/[--?--]/.She was born Abt. 1746, and died 28 Jul 1816 in Streatley Beds - aged 70.

Notes for EDWARD MUCKLESTON:

Streatley:-

To the outside world Streatley as a village did not exist until the latter half of the 19th century. Until then the area known as Streatley (meaning a clearing by the street) was no more than a scattered farm hamlet, consisting of a few dwellings, tucked away in a fold of the downs, set back from the edge of the Chiltern Hills.

His mother may have been a Mary Muckleston as there was a burial on 7 March 1783 at St Margarets Streatley - age unknown.

Children of EDWARD MUCKLESTON and MARY/[--?--]/ are:

2.i.WILLIAM2 MUCKLESTON, b. Abt. 1771; d. 28 Nov 1839, Harlington Bedfordshire (aged 68 or 60).

ii.SUSAN MUCKLESTON, b. 02 Mar 1772, Bap Streatley Bedfordshire; m. THOMAS BURGE, 25 Nov 1816, Ampthill Bedfordshire.
